Pathways In Education (PIE) is an Alternative Learning Opportunities Program (ALOP) serving grades 9-12 in the Chicago community. Pathways considers the unique needs of every student, allowing access to small group classes, guided independent study, online courses, and experiential learning, to address each student's individual strengths and needs
Pathways In Education is looking for a Project Manager. The Project Manager will have the following responsibilities:
Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:*
- Lead the planning and implementation of projects.
- Establish and manage timelines and project milestones.
- Succinctly articulate and write strategies, plans, status or any other communications with team members and executive staff.
- Establishing/implementing a cross-departmental workflow.
- Assess and implement processes on how the organization can improve on speed and accuracy of project management.
- Effectively plan and organize work activities and prioritize task completion to meet schedules and deadlines.
- Prepare team status reports to reflect meeting summaries, issues, and resulting action items.
- Establish a strong working relationship and clear communication channel with support departments.
- Facilitate the project kickoff so that all support departments understand the overall goal of the project, their role on the project, and any project timelines.
- Routinely communicates with management to provide status updates, discuss issues and concerns, and gain assistance on any high-level obstacles that may arise causing issues for the project.
- Maintain regular communication with the project stakeholders, so that priorities are clearly understood and problems are quickly identified and addressed in an open and cordial way.
- Ensure that problems impacting project success are communicated to senior management promptly with a goal to obtain a quick resolution and keep the project on schedule. Create email that is clear and concise and does not cause confusion or conflict.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
- Ability to manage work, delegate, and provide guidance to employees.
- Extremely capable in the creative management process - projects are seen through to completion on time and within budget.
- Ability to create professional presentations and reports.
- Adapt to quickly evolving situations, but always connect the dots, and sweat all the details
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills
Education and Experience:
- BA/BS degree required.
- 2-4 years related experience/training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in a charter school or education organization is preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or currently in progress preferred.

Pay: $70,304 - $77,652.00 Annually Based on Experience
