Senior Business Development Manager

Senior Business Development Manager - Telecom (Open RAN & RF)
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth in the telecom sector with emphasis on RF, networking equipment and Open RAN solutions. The role combines technical understanding of radio and RAN architectures with commercial acumen to identify new opportunities, build partnerships with operators and vendors, and convert opportunities into revenue. You will lead deal development end-to-end and work cross-functionally to shape go-to-market strategy for advanced wireless solutions.
Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business development and revenue growth for RF, networking equipment and Open RAN products and solutions across operator and vendor accounts.
  • Identify, qualify and manage a robust sales pipeline through prospecting, outreach, and strategic engagement with service providers, system integrators and channel partners.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at mobile network operators, vendors and strategic partners to create long-term partnerships.
  • Develop compelling value propositions, technical-commercial proposals and business cases tailored to customer needs and procurement processes.
  • Lead proposal development, commercial negotiation and contract closure in coordination with legal, finance and commercial teams.
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering to feedback market requirements, align product roadmaps and support technical demonstrations, trials and PoCs.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences and trade shows, presenting solutions and generating market visibility for Open RAN and RF offerings.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior BD and sales team members and coordinate with account teams for smooth handover and account management.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape and regulatory developments to refine strategy and identify new growth areas (e.g., private networks, vRAN deployments).

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in business development, sales or account management within the telecom industry, with proven success selling RF, RAN or networking equipment.
  • Demonstrable technical knowledge of RF systems, radio units, baseband/RAN architectures and Open RAN principles and ecosystems.
  • Proven track record of identifying and closing multi-stakeholder deals with mobile network operators and vendors.
  • Strong commercial skills including pricing strategy, contract negotiation and proposal development.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills able to interact with C-level executives and technical teams.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and work closely with product, engineering and delivery teams to drive commercial outcomes.
  • Willingness to travel as required for customer meetings, trials and industry events.
  • Must-have skills: Business Development, Telecom, RF, networking equipment, Open RAN.
