Job description

DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support research and development of new and current product initiatives with guidance from

management
  • Lab work execution and data collection on a wide variety of initiatives (i.e., stability studies, new

flavor creation, etc.)
  • Execute taste testing on-site and off-site of development products
  • Manage product specification database, updating current and adding new documentation, and

recipes.
  • Develop and calculate ingredients and nutrition statements
  • Independently document, record, and report all technical studies
  • Participate on cross-functional teams to support initiatives as they move through the development

process
  • Actively engage with franchisees and customers in the field on current and new products
  • Work with manufacturers to support current products and bring new products to market

Must Haves:
  • Laboratory best practices experience
  • Technical work documentation and record-keeping experience
  • Interest in engaging with franchisees and customers in the field
  • Established history of critical thinking and problem solving
  • Collaborative. Effective team engagement and a desire to build relationships
  • Ability to deliver time-bound results and act with a sense of urgency
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Open to travel 10% of the time, project dependent

REQUIREMENTS
  • B.S. Food Science or Chemistry. Other B.S. technical degrees considered (i.e., Chemical Engineering, Biology, etc.)
  • 1+ years in food and/or beverage product development or a similar field (internships will be considered)
