Job description

Description

A detail-oriented and proactive R&D Technician to support our Research & Development team in the formulation, testing, and documentation of innovative personal care and hair styling products.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare lab batches of hair styling and personal care formulations according to R&D protocols.
  • Perform organoleptic and physical testing (Appearance, color, odor, pH, viscosity, SPG, etc.) of lab batches.
  • Manage and execute stability testing protocols, including sample preparation, storage, and data tracking.
  • Conduct routine laboratory tests and performance evaluations.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed lab notebooks, batch records, and test reports.
  • Request raw materials and documentation (COAs, SDS, etc.) from vendors and distributors.
  • Support the Quality Control (QC) department with testing, documentation, and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Assist in raw material evaluations and maintain ingredient documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Regulatory, Quality) to support product development timelines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment in accordance with GLP, GMP and safety protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Associates in chemistry, cosmetic Science, biology, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with formulation equipment (e.g., mixers, homogenizers, viscometers, pH meter).
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow SOPs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic data entry systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Biology, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a cosmetic, personal care, or pharmaceutical lab environment preferred.
