About the role
We have a new opportunity for Quantum System Integrator. In this role you will own the integration and deployment of production dual rail quantum processors. You will be reporting to the Director of Quantum Systems in New Haven and be part of the team that owns our dual rail quantum systems. You will feel proud to efficiently deliver high performance dual rail quantum processors. You will work closely with cross disciplinary engineering teams to bring everything needed together through the phases of getting systems up and ready for users. You will have opportunity to learn and own the end-to-end process what it takes to make these systems a reality.
What you'll do
  • Carry and ensure system requirements are met to deliver dual rail quantum processors as a product
  • Execute the project management and drive technical problem solving across multiple teams to resolve electrical, cryogenic, and quantum related challenges
  • Design, implement, and guide robust testing programs to efficiently validate our systems
  • Plan out long term cross functional integration strategies for delivering systems efficiently
  • Engage in system resilience engineering
  • Engage on cryo-engineering, RF signaling, and system engineering
  • Contribute directly on a core D-Wave activity: bringing scaled up dual rail quantum systems to reality!

About You
  • 5+ years experience and Bachelor's degree in physics, applied physics, electrical engineering, or similar field or equivalent experience are welcome for consideration
  • Experience with the execution, planning, and life cycle of complex system integration for production programs
  • Experience with experimental engineering or physics projects in an R&D environment
  • Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and communication skills with team members from different technical expertise and backgrounds
  • Experience with cryogenic, vacuum systems, RF, DC, and/or low-temperature systems
  • Ability and techniques to maintain and project a positive outlook even when navigating challenging technical problems
