Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Power BI / Qlik Developer to support Coast Guard reporting, analytics, and data visualization initiatives. The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions that provide operational, financial, logistics, and performance insights to stakeholders and leadership teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Power BI and/or Qlik Sense, data modeling, SQL development, and data integration to support data-driven decision-making. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and scorecards using Power BI and Qlik Sense. Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical reporting solutions. Develop and optimize data models, semantic layers, and reporting frameworks. Create dashboards supporting operations, logistics, asset management, workforce, and performance metrics. Integrate data from multiple enterprise systems, databases, APIs, and cloud platforms. Develop advanced DAX calculations, Power Query transformations, and Qlik scripts. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with organizational data governance standards. Implement role-based security and row-level security (RLS) within BI solutions. Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to deliver reporting solutions. Perform testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and enhancements of existing dashboards and reports. Create and maintain technical documentation and user guides. Support data validation and quality assurance activities. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of experience developing business intelligence solutions using Power BI and/or Qlik Sense/QlikView. Strong experience with SQL development and database technologies. Experience in data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes. Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and Qlik scripting. Experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting Coast Guard or other government-related programs. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Databricks, or Azure Data Factory. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
