Skills: 3-5 years related IT experience required ***SEE BELOW***
Job Description:
- Must know Object Oriented programming (preferably in multiple languages - Python is strongly preferred)
- Experience with CI/CD techniques
- Must know what APIs are and understand how to interact and write code to test APIs. Knowledge of fixtures, automated data setup, xUnit style testing, BDD testing, data driven testing
- Worked with REST services
- Experience with SQL
Preferred Skills:
- Experience testing API's using Python
- Worked on a billing system in the past and know billing terminology
- Financial systems experience
- Experience working on billing platforms. Knowledge of Oracle BRM is a very strong plus
- Experience working with distributed systems
- Understands Domain Driven Design
- Performance testing using Gatling or JMeter
Other Necessary Skills:
- Ability to figure out how the better areas to test and how much testing is enough
- Self starter and go-getter attitude
Responsibilities:
- Write and execute automated test scripts using a Python based testing framework called OpenCAFE
- Writes positive and negative smoke, functional and regression test scripts to test product functionality and integration with dependencies
- Tests API's, web services and/or web applications
- Writes performance, load, and stress tests utilizing a pre-defined framework
- Participates actively in code reviews
- Significant amount of code contribution
- Collaborates with other quality and development engineers to build, evolve, and maintain a scalable continuous build and deployment pipeline
Project:
- Writing test automation for Billing Service Layer in the company's Cloud (IT - Billing) product line. In this role, the resource will write test code and infrastructure based on our open source testing engine OpenCAFE.
