About our company Premier: Premier Project Management provides design, procurement, engineering development and project management services to hotels. This includes implementing the majority of capital improvements for properties owned by Ashford Hospitality Trust (NYSE: AHT) and other hotel and mulit-family ownership groups. As an Interior Designer, you will work on the interior renovation of projects with varying levels of complexity from design through construction and installation. You will work with and receive mentorship from senior members in the department.
Position Summary: The Senior Purchasing Agent will assist with supply chain management and implementation of purchasing objectives. The role supports the development and ongoing management of assets comprised of Hospitality and Multi-Family residential developments. Reporting to the Senior Director of Procurement, the role supports in-house design, design consultants . The Senior Purchasing Agent is responsible for bidding, purchasing, and expediting major projects as assigned so that all FF&E is available at the construction start date.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for cost analysis, negotiating, purchasing, and delivery of all products within an approved budget
  • Manage an effective project purchasing process to ensure that requirements are purchased and delivered within required time lines
  • Effectively manage multiple complex projects with limited supervision
  • Process all requisitions and purchase orders
  • Initiate change orders to purchase orders, generating purchase orders for property level commitments as part of Capital Purchases/Plan and other FF&E purchase orders as required
  • Handle and resolve vendor disputes

Requirements
  • High School Diploma Required
  • BA or BS preferred
  • At least five (5) years purchasing experience, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel - Spitfire a plus
  • Strong oral and written communications skills required, presentation skills desirable
  • Exceptional customer service skills and follow through
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, to work independently and as part of a team
