Senior Project Manager

Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role extends beyond day-to-day project oversight and includes mentoring project teams, driving operational excellence, and ensuring projects align with organizational goals related to quality, safety, efficiency, and profitability.

The Senior Project Manager serves as a leader within the project management group, overseeing high-value or high-visibility projects while supporting the development of Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Engineers. This position requires deep technical knowledge, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple projects with varying scopes and challenges.


Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & Execution
  • Oversee the full project lifecycle on multiple large-scale or complex projects

  • Develop and manage project schedules, execution plans, and resource strategies in collaboration with internal and field teams

  • Provide direct leadership, oversight, and mentorship to project management staff

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships

Budgeting & Cost Control
  • Establish and manage project budgets, forecasting, and change management processes

  • Review subcontractor and supplier proposals to ensure scope alignment and cost efficiency

  • Identify financial risks and implement proactive measures to protect project margins

Client & Stakeholder Communication
  • Serve as the primary client contact for high-priority projects

  • Lead project meetings, executive updates, and coordination efforts with internal and external stakeholders

Team Development & Mentorship

Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent industry experience

  • 8+ years of experience in commercial construction project management
    (Drywall and metal framing experience preferred)

  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, budgeting, and cost controls

  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Plexxis, OnCenter) and Microsoft Office

  • Proven leadership ability with excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple large-scale projects and teams simultaneously

  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry safety standards
