Job description

Job Title: Senior Project Manager

Location: Chicago, IL

Salary: Up to $150K + Benefits


We are working with a well-established Chicago-based construction services firm seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of federal construction projects across the region.


This is a leadership role with full responsibility for managing projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with all federal requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead federal construction projects from award through final completion.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, procurement, and subcontractor performance.
  • Oversee project planning, execution, risk management, and change order administration.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations, contract requirements, quality standards, and safety policies.
  • Monitor project progress, resolve issues proactively, and provide regular reporting to senior leadership.
  • Review project documentation, drawings, and specifications to support successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with preconstruction and estimating teams during bid and planning phases as needed.
  • Lead project meetings and foster strong relationships with all project stakeholders.


Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in construction project management, preferably on federal or government projects.
  • Proven experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Strong understanding of federal construction contracts, compliance requirements, and documentation.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
