EGC Construction, an operating unit of Messer Construction Co., is currently seeking a Sr. Project Manager with Commercial or Industrial experience to join the team.  

EGC employs more than 150 employees, including Engineers, Project Managers, Estimators, Superintendents and skilled craft workers. With offices in Newport, KY, EGC services local and regional clients with general, commercial and industrial construction services. EGC is committed to safety and the continuous improvement of our safety systems and has received national safety awards as a result of our performance. 

As a Sr. Project Manager at EGC, you will be responsible for both the financial and operational success of commercial and industrial construction projects. The Sr. Project Manager has responsibility for project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, as well as ensuring safety and quality compliance throughout the project. Our Sr. Project Managers collaborate with a team of professionals to develop and deliver on project scopes and schedules to achieve our client’s objectives. A successful Sr. Project Manager will need to be driven, motivated and dedicated to providing superior customer service.  

EGC Construction is seeking an experienced Sr. Project Manager to lead mechanical and process piping projects from preconstruction through closeout.

This role is responsible for managing project execution, maintaining schedules and budgets, coordinating teams, and ensuring successful delivery for our clients. The ideal candidate has experience in mechanical construction or process piping and thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

What You Will Do: 

  • Manage projects throughout the full lifecycle—from planning to closeout
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts
  • Lead project planning, risk management, and resource coordination
  • Support estimating and preconstruction efforts
  • Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
  • Oversee procurement, equipment buyout, and material tracking
  • Monitor progress to ensure safety, quality, and schedule goals are met
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular reporting to stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiency

What You Will Bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of experience in construction project management (mechanical/piping preferred) 
  • Experience in commercial, industrial, or manufacturing environments
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and cost control
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and P&IDs
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities
  • Commitment to safety and quality on every project
