As a Desing-Build Construction Project Engineer at Perini Management Services, reporting to the Project Manager you will have the opportunity to:

Description:

Design-Build Management:

  • Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall construction schedule

  • Review Phased Design Submissions for RFP Compliance, Constructability, Consistency with Subcontractor Proposals

  • Provide technical support for construction effort including participation in construction planning and design; interpretation of design; application of construction methods; resolution and documentation of design conflicts; constructability reviews, review of product data submittals

  • Represent company, project and/or department during A/E, client and project management meetings, including keeping and distributing meeting minutes

Project Planning & Coordination:

  • Collaborate with architects and engineers throughout all phases of construction, including pre-construction/design phases.

  • Assist in developing project budgets, timelines, and procurement plans.

  • Review and manage design documents for constructability and distribution to client & subcontractors

Construction Management:

  • Assist with developing and maintaining the project schedule, including monthly updates, and progress tracking.

  • Process change orders and manage scope changes between the client, subcontractors, and designers.

  • Assist in securing vendors and subcontractors.

  • Monitor costs and assist with budget management.

  • Identify and mitigate project risks.

  • Coordinate with the owner and security officers for base access and ensure proper clearance

Construction Oversight:

  • Support and oversee day-to-day construction activities to ensure alignment with plans and specifications.

  • Assist in monitoring worksite safety and ensure compliance with safety standards.

  • Assist in the coordination of subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials and services

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Documenting and Coordinating meetings, tracking actions, and decisions.

  • Manage submittals and RFIs keep up to date logs

  • Support QC inspections and ensure project quality standards are maintained

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a similar degree from an accredited institution.

  • 2 + years of project engineering experience

  • Experience with Federal Projects preferred.

  • Experience with Desing-Build Construction projects preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and strong computer literacy.

  • Proficiency with Primavera P6, Bluebeam and Procore

  • Willing to travel and relocate. Initial project location will be in Kodiak Alaska

  • Ability to obtain an Employer-Sponsored U.S. Government Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship

  • PE, EIT, and/or other relevant Certifications/Licenses Preferred
