Position Overview

We are seeking a driven and analytical Project Controls Analyst to join our growing team in a hybrid capacity. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in fast-paced project environments and enjoys turning data into actionable insights that drive project success.

As a key member of our project delivery team, you will support critical functions including scheduling, cost management, forecasting, risk analysis, and executive reporting. You will work alongside project managers, engineers, and senior stakeholders to provide the visibility and controls necessary to deliver projects safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.


Key Responsibilities


Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop, maintain, and analyze detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Monitor critical paths, milestones, and schedule performance, proactively identifying risks and potential delays.
  • Integrate schedules across multiple workstreams and update plans to reflect changing project conditions.
  • Support schedule recovery planning and provide recommendations to improve project performance.

Cost Controls & Financial Management

  • Track project budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasted costs.
  • Perform cost variance analysis, earned value reporting, and trend forecasting.
  • Partner with project teams to identify budget risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare accurate financial reports and executive dashboards to support decision-making.

Risk & Change Management

  • Assist in identifying, evaluating, and monitoring project risks and opportunities.
  • Support the development and implementation of risk mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Manage change control processes by tracking impacts to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Ensure project changes are properly documented and aligned with governance requirements.

Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret project performance data to identify trends and key performance indicators.
  • Develop meaningful reports and presentations for project leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to improve forecasting accuracy and enhance project delivery performance.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through reporting automation and process optimization.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, construction, and client stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
  • Communicate project performance, risks, and recommendations to leadership in a clear and concise manner.
  • Support project review meetings, executive presentations, and strategic planning sessions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in project controls, project management, scheduling, cost controls, or construction project delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale capital, infrastructure, utility, or construction projects.
  • Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 is required.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, SAP, or similar cost management and reporting tools.
  • Experience with Power BI, reporting automation, or business intelligence tools is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in collaborative environments.
