Summary
The Senior Manager - High & Heavy (HoT) will contribute to expanding the company's freight forwarding services by identifying business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of supply chain management, logistics and freight forwarding needed to further expand the company's market presence.
Additionally, as this role serves as a middle management position within the company, the candidate must motivate and lead team members while setting goals aligned with the company`s strategic direction.
The Senior Manager should also have a strong understanding of the company`s internal systems and continuously manage financial settlements and performance tracking.
Responsibilities
  • Sales and Revenue Support
    • Assist in identifying new business opportunities in freight forwarding, including air and ocean freight, drayage, and over-the-road trucking services
    • In line with the specific characteristics of the High & Heavy market, proceed with obtaining the necessary licenses required for sales execution.
    • Support senior business development managers in meeting sales targets by actively engaging in client meetings, negotiations, and proposal writing
    • Monitor and track sales performance data, helping to prepare reports and insights for senior management
    • As team members are located in both the Western and Eastern regions, additional working hours may be required at times to ensure prompt decision-making and efficient task coordination despite time zone differences.
    • Develop and distribute SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) by cargo type to institutionalize knowledge and enhance internal capabilities
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Maintain relationships with existing clients, ensuring regular communication and providing assistance with their logistics and transportation needs
    • Assist in onboarding new clients by understanding their requirements, providing solutions, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery service
    • Support senior team members in resolving client issues and maintaining high customer satisfaction\
    • Improve customer satisfaction by assigning personnel to be stationed long-term at project sites when necessary
  • Market Research and Analysis
    • Conduct research on market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to assist in identifying potential business opportunities
  • Expand the pool of execution partners
    • Identify and secure execution partners tailored to each client`s business characteristics to provide customized services.
    • Pre-arrange and secure equipment providers required for High & Heavy cargo operations.
    • Possess the necessary language skills to enable direct communication with drivers and EPC contractors
  • Strategic Alignment with Headquarters
    • Collaborate closely with Korean Headquarters to understand and execute the global business strategy at the local level
    • Provide regular updates and reports on market trends, customer needs, and business performance to ensure alignment with corporate objectives
    • Act as the liaison between the local branch and headquarters, facilitating smooth communication and strategy implementation
  • Reporting and Documentation
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and business development progress
    • Assist in preparing sales reports, forecasts, and performance summaries for senior management
  • Collaboration with Operations and Finance
    • Work closely with the operations and finance teams to ensure that services are delivered efficiently and that financial goals are met
    • Coordinate with operations to manage freight shipments, resolve logistical challenges, and meet client expectations
  • Manage the H&H team
    • As a team leader, striving to support and guide team members, create an environment where they can stay focused on their work.

Compensation Range
$110,000 - $130,000 Per Year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Education & Experience
  • H.S Diploma/G.E.D Required
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • 8 - 12 Years of Direct Experience in Supply Chain Management, Freight Forwarding, or Logistics
  • 10 - 15 Years of Direct Experience in Supply Chain Management, Freight Forwarding, or Logistics
  • 1 - 3 Years of Supervisory Experience Required
