Title:
Senior Network Administrator
KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.
KBR is looking for a Senior Network Administrator to be responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, and operational reliability of enterprise network infrastructure supporting KBR operations. You will provide advanced technical administration across network, connectivity, security, and related infrastructure platforms, ensuring the availability, performance, and resilience of critical services.
You will require deep technical knowledge of enterprise networking technologies, the ability to resolve complex operational issues, and the capability to work independently with minimal guidance. You will also contribute directly to service stability, operational excellence, and infrastructure modernization initiatives while acting as a technical resource for colleagues within the team.
This role does not include supervisory or people management accountability.
This hybrid role requires employees to work both remotely and from the office. To be considered, candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance and be able to regularly report to the office.
Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Network Administration
  • Administer enterprise network infrastructure, including:
    • LAN, WAN, wireless, and data center networking platforms
    • Routing and switching technologies
    • Software-defined networking and SD-WAN environments
    • Network access control and identity-aware networking services
  • Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade network infrastructure in accordance with operational standards.
  • Perform routine lifecycle management activities, including software updates, hardware maintenance, and technology refresh activities.
  • Maintain accurate network documentation, configuration standards, and operational records.

Network Security & Connectivity
  • Administer and support enterprise network security technologies, including firewalls, VPN services, and secure remote-access solutions.
  • Maintain network segmentation, access control, and secure connectivity frameworks.
  • Support vulnerability remediation and implementation of network security controls.
  • Ensure network services comply with organizational security standards and governance requirements.

Data Centre & Cloud Networking
  • Support enterprise data center networking environments and associated connectivity services.
  • Administer load balancing and application delivery platforms.
  • Support hybrid cloud and cloud networking services.
  • Maintain reliable connectivity between on-premises infrastructure, cloud platforms, remote locations, and hosted environments.
  • Support network architecture and capacity growth initiatives.

Infrastructure Integration
  • Collaborate with server, storage, backup, cloud, and cybersecurity teams to ensure reliable infrastructure operations.
  • Support infrastructure services where networking dependencies exist.
  • Maintain a working understanding of compute, virtualization, storage, and application dependencies to support effective troubleshooting and escalation.

Operational Support
