Job description

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood currently has an opportunity for a Contracts Administrator at our Mining & Minerals office in Saskatchewan,This person will be working at our Construction site located near Rocanville in Saskatchewan.  This role reports to the Senior Manager, SCM and will have you working alongside other team members locally. 

Responsibilities:

  • Operate in accordance with appropriate and current corporate execution procedures and Project Specific Procedures,
  • Undertake contracts activities under direction in accordance with the project execution plan/schedule and/or contracting strategy, within approved budgets and in line with project processes and procedures
  • Monitor and update the Contracts Status Plan
  • Support prequalification activities co-ordinating the input from other disciplines as appropriate and prepare qualification report and list of tenderers form for approval.
  • Support the preparation of contract enquiry documentation, including where applicable the expediting of scopes of work, terms and conditions of contract, enquiry documentation and the like.
  • Process tender information received in response to enquiries. Participate in and/or direct pre-tender and/or tender evaluation meetings and prepare notes of meeting when required.
  • Undertake / monitor the administration of contracts (i.e. processing of payment certificates, price variation summaries etc.) and ensure the satisfactory operation of procedures.
  • Make recommendations to Senior SCM Manager with respect to exceptions to the Terms and Conditions
  • Support claims mitigation activities.
  • Understand the different interfaces between disciplines in the administration of contracts.
  • Develop and maintain construction progress activities utilizing our Project Management System.
  • Identify contract matters which will adversely affect the cost of the program.
Skills / Qualifications
  • 5-7 years progressively more responsible pertinent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in EPCM environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada at time of application
