The Senior Lead DevOps Engineer will play a critical role in bringing strategic vision to life by building the platforms, processes, and automation capabilities that enable innovation to scale efficiently and reliably. This individual will lead the advancement of modern software delivery practices, designing and implementing digital pipelines that accelerate the path from development to deployment while maintaining high standards for quality, security, and operational performance. In this role, the Senior Lead DevOps Engineer will help shape and leverage emerging technologies to automate software deployment, optimize infrastructure lifecycle management, and deliver scalable solutions that support business growth. Collaborating across executive leadership, product management, engineering, and quality organizations, this individual will connect people, processes, and technology to address complex challenges and drive meaningful outcomes.
 
In this position the Senior Lead DevOps Engineer will be able to establish scalable DevOps capabilities, enhance platform reliability, and enable faster delivery of business-critical solutions. The Senior Lead DevOps Engineer will serve as a technical leader and trusted partner, helping teams adopt best practices, improve operational resilience, and support the organization's long-term digital transformation objectives.
Location

This is a work from home position within the US. 

The Main Responsibilities
  • Apply a thorough understanding of deploying and managing application lifecycles to interpret customer business needs and processes.
  • Making data driven decisions to improve resilience,and service quality
  • Work with the development team to improve the system architecture.
  • Supportive and collaborative management ability in a team environment, as well as proven customer-facing management skills
  • Proven experience with CI/CD tools, such as Jira and Confluence
  • Detailed, hands-on experience with public cloud resources and services such as AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud
  • Knowledge on how to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a test and product environments
  • Ability to identify, assess and integrate various open source technologies and cloud services
  • Analyse current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them
  • Work under agile principles.
  • Work with AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, agentic coding, Cursor, Claude Code and assist teams in adopting them
  • Assist other DevOps engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team
  • Mentor and train other DevOps engineers and seek to continually improve processes
  • Participate in internal meeting to review solution, all dependencies, actions and timelines.
  • Collaborate with other developers, testers, and system engineers to ensure quality product enhancements.
  • All other duties as assigned.
What We Look For in a Candidate
  • Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of experience or Master's Degree with 8+ years experience
  • 5 years overall professional software development experience
  • 3 years of scripting language development experience (BASH)
  • Familiar with all aspects of MV frameworks.
  • Advanced Linux admin and programming skills.
  • Familiar with the whole web stack, including protocols and web server optimization techniques.
  • Experience with API integration and Micro Services and Containers
  • Experience deploying and managing production systems on a cloud infrastructure
  • Detailed understanding of networking at all layers.
  • Experience with good engineering practices (test driven development, continuous integration: Jenkins)
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud and virtualization technologies like Amazon Web
  • Familiar with concepts related to continuous integration and continuous deployment.
  • Experience with Powershell or Dotnet pipelines valuate but not required
     
Compensation
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

$138,844 - $185,124 in these states: CO  HI  MI  MN  NC  NH  NV  OR  RI 
$145,456 - $193,940 in these states: AK  CA  CT  DC  DE  IL  MA  MD  NJ  NY  TX  VA  WA
