Theย Bridges and Structures Practice is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer in Salem, OR.

This isย aย uniqueย opportunity for a seasoned bridge engineerย who'sย ready to step intoย a leadershipย role,ย delivering andย leading infrastructure projects, mentoring rising talent, and influencing howย transportationย assetsย are managed and delivered.ย 

You'llย work on a wide range of projects, from multi-span highway bridges spanning waterways and highways toย retainingย walls and rehabilitationย and preservationย of aging infrastructure, bringing creativity, technical depth, and vision to every phase of project delivery.

What You'll DoKey Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a senior technical lead on bridge preservation and asset management projects.
  • Perform life-cycle costs analysis to determine cost-effective long-term bridge preservation treatments.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle-from concept through final plans and construction support.
  • Ensure deliverables meet or exceed industry standards for quality, accuracy, and constructability.
  • Review and check structural calculations, plans, and specifications to ensure engineering excellence.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, building the next generation of bridge design talent.
  • Lead or support condition inspections, load ratings, and structural evaluations of in-service bridges.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Build strong client relationships through technical leadership, responsiveness, and delivery excellence.
  • Support business development through proposal preparation, technical writing, and pursuit strategy.
What You BringRequired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civilย or Structural Engineeringย 
  • 15+ย years of progressive experience in bridge engineeringย 
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license inย Oregonย 
  • Experience withย ODOT bridge design standardsย 
  • Experienceย inย Bridge Preservation andย Assetย Managementย 
  • Expertiseย in bridge design software: SAP2000, Midas Civilย 
  • Strong knowledge of AASHTO LRFD bridge design standardsย 
  • Proficiencyย in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)ย 
  • Demonstrated leadership, clear communication, and client-facing skillsย 
  • Physical ability and willingness to conduct field inspectionsย 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Structural Engineeringย 
  • Structural Engineer (SE) license inย Oregonย
