Senior IT Program Manager – Diversified Services Network, Inc. (DSN)

We are looking for a full‑time Senior IT Program Manager to join our team in either Peoria, IL or Chicago, IL. The role offers a hybrid work model with two days of onsite work per week, comprehensive benefits, PTO, 401(k) and more.

Position Overview

The Senior IT Program Manager works within an Application Program Management team, leading project teams to build software solutions that integrate common services across a large enterprise application portfolio and other enterprise systems used by customers and dealers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own successful, on‑time, on‑budget, and error‑free completion of assigned projects and programs.
  • Manage the planning and execution of project team members across multiple, cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Manage project charters, communications, metrics, reporting, and the overall project plan and budget.
  • Support project teams and gather/provide information from concept through prototype, pilot, implementation, and follow‑up stages.
  • Develop and maintain project management schedules using professional tools and techniques, including tracking charts, checklists, and scheduling software.
  • Lead change management efforts and drive timely, effective decision‑making.
  • Maintain detailed schedules reflecting changes, affected components and functions, timelines, and cost impacts.
  • Partner with team members across multiple functional disciplines and business stakeholders to establish and meet completion dates.
  • Monitor project progress, proactively communicate issues to affected areas, and ensure appropriate personnel are informed.
  • Recommend solutions and alternatives to resolve project risks and roadblocks.
  • Lead end‑to‑end program management across a cross‑functional matrix organization, guiding teams through the creation of project charters, scope alignment, and ways of working.
Team & Work Environment

This role manages 2–3 projects at a time, with an annual volume of approximately 8–10 projects depending on Agile sprint frequency. It works with a moderately‑to‑highly complex portfolio. The team includes stakeholders based in the U.S. and engineering teams located across the U.S., India, and Slovakia. The Senior IT Program Manager will collaborate closely with engineering and technical product owners on each project.

Education & Experience

Required: Bachelor’s degree from a 4‑year college or university plus 10+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Business) plus 8+ years of relevant experience.

Required Technical Skills
  • 8+ years of experience managing projects from inception, with demonstrated ability to lead teams to alignment.
  • Proven experience leading end‑to‑end program management within a cross‑functional matrix organization, including managing multi‑functional teams.
  • 8+ years of direct project management experience working with software engineering teams in an Agile Software Development methodology, alongside business partners and product managers.
  • Proven experience with project management fundamentals, including project charters, scheduling, and planning, with the ability to guide teams through charter creation, scope alignment, and ways of working.
  • 2+ years of experience with Azure DevOps (formerly VSTS) and Confluence.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project.
  • Experience leading large‑scale organizational change management.
  • Strong strategic thinking, alignment, and direction‑setting experience.
  • Experience working within large enterprise‑level organizations.
  • Experience with eCommerce applications or projects.
  • 2+ years of experience with Power BI.

  • Additional Scrum Master experience beyond the required project management background.
