Job description

The Salesforce Delivery Director is a parttime role responsible for leading client-facing Salesforce project delivery while advancing ERM's overall Salesforce delivery capability. In client engagements, the role serves as a Project Manager-ensuring highquality, ontime, and onbudget execution of Salesforce implementations using Agile principles. Outside of billable work, this role focuses on strengthening ERM's delivery methodology by developing standardized processes, reusable templates, and training programs that elevate the performance and consistency of the Salesforce delivery team.


This position blends handson project leadership with practice enablement, helping ERM scale its Salesforce Digital Services offering with predictable, repeatable, and highquality delivery.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Client Delivery (Billable)

  • Lead Salesforce implementation projects in a Project Manager capacity, ensuring successful delivery aligned to client objectives, scope, and timeline.

  • Manage daytoday Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, standups, retrospectives, and stakeholder reviews.

  • Coordinate crossfunctional delivery teams-including technical leads, functional consultants, architects, offshore resources, and client stakeholders.

  • Maintain project governance across scope, risks, issues, RAID logs, budgets, and resource planning.

  • Communicate project status to client sponsors and internal leadership, ensuring transparency, alignment, and proactive issue resolution.

  • Drive delivery excellence and client satisfaction through repeatable processes, structured communication, and industrystandard program management practices.

Delivery Methodology & Practice Enablement (NonBillable)

  • Design and maintain ERM's Salesforce delivery methodology aligned to Agile best practices and realworld Salesforce implementation patterns.

  • Develop reusable assets: project templates, RAID logs, user story definitions, acceptance criteria, delivery playbooks, project kickoff materials, and quality checklists.

  • Build and deliver internal training programs to upskill project managers, functional consultants, and technical team members in Agile delivery, project hygiene, estimation, and client communication.

  • Partner with leadership to define delivery standards for Salesforce engagements, ensuring consistent execution across the practice.

  • Support onboarding of new delivery team members through structured role-based training and coaching.

  • Lead retrospectives across projects to identify improvements and incorporate learnings into the delivery methodology.

Influence And Decision-Making Authority

  • Operates with a high degree of independence in managing client engagements and defining delivery standards.

  • Influences how Salesforce projects are scoped, planned, executed, and governed across the practice.

  • Sets expectations for Agile delivery maturity and drives adoption of best practices across teams.

  • Advises leadership on delivery risk, staffing, methodology improvements, and enablement priorities.

  • Makes operational decisions relating to project delivery, budget adherence, resourcing, and client communication.

Job Requirements & Capabilities

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate brings a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in program or project management across diverse initiatives, including Salesforce implementations, IT projects, business transformations, acquisitions, or operational change. They hold formal project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, APM, or equivalent, and may also carry Agilefocused certifications like CSM or PMIACP. Experience with ITIL, Lean Six Sigma, or similar processmanagement methodologies is a plus. The role requires a proven ability to lead complex,

crossfunctional programs; manage scope, budgets, and risks; mentor delivery teams; communicate effectively with senior stakeholders; and apply strong analytical and problemsolving skills in a fastpaced consulting environment. Resilience under pressure and a demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement are essential to success.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional delivery teams across complex technology projects.

  • Strong command of Agile delivery frameworks and their application within Salesforce programs.

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, manage client expectations, and translate technical details into actionable plans.

  • Strong financial, scope, and risk management capabilities.

  • Experience developing or maturing delivery processes, playbooks, or PMO frameworks.

  • Comfortable coaching and mentoring team members across multiple roles and seniority levels.

  • Able to operate in a fast-paced consulting environment with competing priorities.

For the Salesforce Program Director position, the anticipated annual base pay is $134,000-$166,000 (USD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range. This role may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are not bonus eligible).
