Responsibilities
  • Act as Human Resources Business Partner to HR, Legal, and other designated teams
  • Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance
  • Partners with Talent Acquisition team to support the hiring life cycle, including interviewing candidates, to fill open roles
  • Provides advisement to management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues and ensures adherence to various state and federal regulations
  • Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs
  • Provide assistance and training to management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance reviews, performance management, EEOC, ADA, FMLA, and other government requirements.
  • Identify employee-focused location training needs and implements training programs
  • Administer performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity within the organization
  • Administer merit, promotional, and other salary adjustments to ensure compliance and equity within the organization, as well as monitor compa-ratios within the organization
  • Coordinate administration of Workersโ€™ Compensation program, works closely with Safety personnel and the Workersโ€™ Compensation carrier to manage claims and actively supports location safety program
  • Prepare budget for human resources department and monitors spending accordingly
  • Represent the organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations
  • Analyze collective bargaining agreement and develop interpretation of intent, spirit, and terms of contract to counsel management in development and application of labor relations policies and practices
  • Prepare statistical reports of types and frequency of actions taken concerning grievances, arbitration, mediation, and related labor relations activities, to identify problem areas
  • Verify adherence to terms of labor contract by monitoring day-to-day implementation of policies concerning wages, hours, and working conditions
  • Represent management in labor contract negotiations or serves as resource to negotiators by providing information on provisions of current contract and significance of proposed changes
  • Furnish reference documents and statistical data concerning labor legislation, labor market conditions, prevailing union and management practices, wage and salary surveys, and employee benefits programs for labor contract negotiations
Required qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years related experience and/or training
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to form strong relationships with business leaders
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills
Preferred qualifications
  • PHR or SHRM Certification
  • Experience supporting Human Resources and/or Legal teams

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $100,800 to $171,700 in Minnesota and is eligible for an annual bonus. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
