Job Title: Senior Process Safety Engineer

Location: Alpharetta, Ga (Corporate Headquarters) -- OR-- Remote

Arclin has an immediate opening for a full-time Senior Process Safety Engineer. This is a corporate role which may be remote. Travel is expected.

Job Summary:

Arclin is seeking a skilled and proactive Sr. Process Safety Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of our chemical processes through risk assessments, safety evaluations, and the implementation of process safety management programs.

This role will serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert in Process Safety Management (PSM) across the company’s manufacturing operations and requires a strong background in chemical engineering, safety protocols, industry trends, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop, implement, and maintain process safety management (PSM) programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

· Lead and facilitate PHA, LOPA, and risk assessment activities, ensuring documentation, follow-up, and closure of action items.

· Mentor other PHA facilitators in their growth and development.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement safety systems, procedures, and protocols to mitigate identified risks.

· Perform safety evaluations of new and existing processes, equipment, and facilities to ensure they meet safety and regulatory standards.

· Investigate process safety incidents, perform root cause analyses, and develop recommendations to prevent recurrence.

· Provide technical support and guidance on process safety matters to engineering, operations, and maintenance teams.

· Participate in process safety compliance audits.

· Develop and deliver training programs on process safety topics to enhance the safety culture within the organization.

· Monitor and analyze process safety performance metrics and report findings to senior management.

· Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to ensure continuous improvement and compliance.

· Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulations.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, or a related field.

· A minimum of 8 years of experience in chemical manufacturing environment.

· Strong knowledge of process safety management (PSM) principles, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.

· Experience in facilitating process hazard analyses (PHA), HAZOP, LOPA, and other risk assessment techniques.

· Understanding of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and experience in Basic Process Control System (BPCS) hazard analysis.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.

· Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

· Experience with Facility Siting, Dust Hazard Analysis and/or Hazardous Area Classification is a plus.

· Professional certification (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, Process Safety Professional) is a plus.
