We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our team.

How will you play an integral role?

The Process Engineer provides plant-level research and development support to improve, optimize, and expand existing recycled PET (rPET) flake production processes and technologies. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to identify operational improvement opportunities, support innovation initiatives, and implement process enhancements that improve plant performance, product quality, and cost efficiency. The Process Engineer ensures process improvements align with company objectives, safety standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices while supporting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

What is essential for success?

  • Project Management & Organization – Effectively manages multiple assignments, priorities, and improvement initiatives while maintaining strong organizational and time management skills. Demonstrates accountability for project execution from concept through implementation in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Problem Solver – Applies sound engineering principles, structured problem-solving techniques, and data-driven decision-making to identify root causes, improve processes, and support operational excellence. Demonstrates initiative and a continuous learning mindset.
  • Communicator – Clearly communicates technical information to production, quality, maintenance, engineering, vendors, and customers. Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills while collaborating effectively across departments and organizational levels.
  • Collaboration & Relationship Building – Develops strong working relationships with manufacturing personnel, technical staff, customers, and vendors to identify challenges, support process improvements, and drive successful project outcomes.
  • High Attention to Detail – Maintains accuracy in technical documentation, process evaluations, data analysis, and manufacturing standards to ensure consistent execution and reliable process performance.
  • Analytical Skillset – Possesses strong technical aptitude with the ability to analyze production data, evaluate process capability, interpret statistical information, and recommend practical solutions that improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of recycled PET (rPET) flake production processes, manufacturing equipment, and plant operating systems to support safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
  • Provide technical solutions that improve process performance, product quality, and manufacturing cost through structured experimentation, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Monitor production performance metrics and process capability to ensure operational targets are achieved on every production run; provide technical guidance and corrective actions when processes fall outside established standards.
  • Provide hands-on technical support to manufacturing, quality assurance, and downstream operations by investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving process and product-related issues.
  • Collaborate with production and technical personnel to identify operational challenges, recommend improvements, and implement sustainable process solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, customers, and vendors to support operational excellence and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Support the commercialization of new product developments by transitioning laboratory and development projects into stable, scalable manufacturing processes.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of process documentation, manufacturing standards, and operating procedures to ensure consistent execution across the operation.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, efficiency, product quality, and operational performance.
  • Support technical evaluations and engineering projects related to recycled PET processing and emerging manufacturing technologies.
