What You Will Do:
  • The Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Coatings will develop and qualify new processes to meet or exceed delivery and quality targets, and assist in manufacturing readiness for these processes at HSMC sites in Asheville NC, East Hartford CT, and Middletown NY.
  • The candidate will work across the module center by demonstrating technical project management, interpersonal and team skills, as well as strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task and adapt to changing business requirements.
  • Define future process needs to provide the highest yield and lowest cost to meet product definition. Including equipment needs, tooling, and inspection for future state processes
  • Participate in testing at factory and site acceptance of new equipment designs
  • Development of production processes, work instructions, quality requirements, and regulatory requirements
  • Design and lead implementation of standardized engineering practices, processes, tools, and methods
  • Lead Manufacturing Process in MRL (Manufacturing Readiness Level) of new process to align with program requirements
  • Key member of the team to support implementation and execution of NPI to meet customer and financial requirements
  • Pursue operational excellence as subject matter expert for next generation coating process; Drive product cost reduction and ensure targets are achieved through data driven process improvements and deployment of new technologies.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations or similar degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in operations, manufacturing engineering or similar experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Six Sigma green belt or equivalent
  • Experience with coatings in a manufacturing setting
  • Prior work experience in the Aerospace Industry
  • Project management experience
  • Electron Bean Physical Vapor Deposition or Vapor Phase Aluminide

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.
As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote.
The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
