Location: Champaign, Illinois (On-site)

Lead Financial Strategy for a Growing Manufacturing Company

Are you a CPA with strong Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) experience in manufacturing? Do you enjoy partnering with executive leadership to influence business strategy, profitability, and operational performance?

We're seeking an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis Manager (FP&A Manager) to join a rapidly growing, private equity-backed manufacturing company in Champaign, Illinois. Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll play a key leadership role driving financial performance, improving operational efficiency, and supporting strategic growth initiatives.

This is a highly visible position with direct exposure to senior leadership, board reporting, and business decision-making.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the company's annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning process
  • Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives and capital investments
  • Analyze manufacturing costs, product margins, inventory, labor, and operational performance
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability through cost analysis and financial insights
  • Prepare executive, board, and lender reporting packages
  • Partner with operations, sales, engineering, and leadership to support business decisions
  • Oversee project estimating, pricing analysis, and costing to improve project profitability
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) across the business
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting, forecasting accuracy, and business analytics

Qualifications

  • CPA required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) experience
  • Manufacturing industry experience required
  • Strong expertise in manufacturing costing, standard costing, variance analysis, and margin analysis
  • Advanced financial modeling and forecasting skills
  • Experience partnering with executive leadership and operational teams
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel
  • Experience working in a private equity (PE)-backed company is a plus
