Position Summary:
 
As a Junior Production Artist, Merchandising, you will be responsible for creating in-store print-ready production graphics across all of our retail partners. You will follow design guidelines supplied by our e.l.f. Visual Merchandising Designers, our retailer guidelines, as well as our print vendors. In this role, you will translate design vision into print reality. 
Responsibilities:
  • Support the Sr. Manager in production of all visual merchandising graphics across all e.l.f. beauty brands.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Design, Copy and Project Management to take design from start to finish ensuring production deadlines are met.
  • Adapt and utilize templates to create large number of graphics across major retailers.
  • Come up with creative solutions to design, delivers on commitments, surfaces risks early, and supports complex timelines to keep projects on track.
  • Manage and lead the process from design hand-off, implementing copy, review and approval, to releasing to print vendors.
  • Ability to adapt and be able to keep up with evolving guidelines/design changes.
  • Produce and organize a large number of assets on a server and hand off final files to print vendors.
  • Support the Production team in the addition of 14 Specialty walls across 8 accounts, while freeing senior team members to focus on higher-volume work and strategic oversight.
  • Assist in establishing dedicated production infrastructure for specialty accounts, including translation support, standardized workflows, copy setup, and ensuring accuracy, consistency, and on-time delivery across all specialty assets, often on timelines that differ from broader North America projects.
  • Increase execution capacity and reduce operational risk by absorbing day-to-day production work, supporting complex timelines for global growth, and stabilizing delivery alongside multiple accounts and markets.
Skills:
  • Expert Adobe InDesign skills. Able to work in numbers and calculate sizes
  • Convert design files into print ready mechanicals
  • Build production files from scratch; following a template (creating templates a plus)
  • Able to follow multiple guidelines that vary per project
  • Excel; use a line listing and a planogram to build artwork files
  • Excellent type and layout skills paired with a strong print production knowledge
  • Strong production skills for mass producing files in InDesign
  • Ability to anticipate workload and communicate proactively to Senior Manager
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 2-5 years experience in a high volume, deadline-driven environment
  • Expert level knowledge of Adobe InDesign & Illustrator
  • Print production experience (preferably in beauty, and/or retail)
  • Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills, deadline driven.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with different teams across an organization
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative manner and a highly creative out-of-the-box thinker
  • Knowledge of computer programs including: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Excel, Google docs
  • Working in a project management tools (ie Wrike, ISM/portals) a plus
The base salary range for this role is listed above. 
 
Total compensation includes base salary, annual company-based performance bonus, and equity. Under e.l.f.’s annual bonus program, employees are eligible to earn up to 200% of their target bonus when company performance exceeds defined goals. In addition, e.l.f. provides a variety of other benefits to employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement savings plan, gender neutral parental leave, and unlimited paid time off. The amount of total compensation (including base salary) offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including geographic location, experience, specific skills, and qualifications.
