We are seeking a Power BI Developer to join our team. Job Description:
 
We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to design and deliver enterprise-level business intelligence solutions. The developer will be responsible for creating scalable semantic models, building advanced analytics using DAX, and developing intuitive dashboards that enable stakeholders to make informed decisions.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and optimize Power BI semantic models using dimensional modeling techniques such as star schema and snowflake schema.
  • Build enterprise datasets with relationships, hierarchies, calculation groups, and incremental refresh capabilities.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to define data requirements and ensure model scalability and performance.
  • Implement modeling standards to support self-service analytics and governed data access.
  • Develop complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and tables to support KPIs and business analytics.
  • Optimize DAX queries for performance, readability, and maintainability.
  • Troubleshoot calculation issues and ensure consistency across reports.
  • Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS) within Power BI datasets.
  • Create visually compelling and interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Apply best practices in data visualization and storytelling.
  • Implement interactive features such as drill-through, bookmarks, custom visuals, and parameterized reports.
  • Ensure dashboards meet accessibility and usability standards.
  • Develop efficient SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to support BI data pipelines.
  • Perform data validation, transformation, and profiling in both Oracle and SQL Server environments.
  • Work closely with DBAs and data engineers to optimize query performance.
  • Manage Power BI Service components including workspaces, datasets, data gateways, and refresh schedules.
  • Support governance initiatives such as dataset certification, naming conventions, and documentation.
  • Monitor performance and troubleshoot refresh failures.
  • Assist with tenant-level administration, including user access and licensing compliance.
  • Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable BI solutions.
  • Provide support and guidance for self-service BI users.
  • Document data models, DAX logic, SQL scripts, and report specifications.
  • Participate in Agile development processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of Power BI development experience.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Semantic data modeling (star schema, dataflows, composite models)
    • Advanced DAX programming
    • Power Query (M language)
    • Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
  • Solid SQL development experience in Oracle and SQL Server environments.
  • Experience with Power BI administration, including gateways, workspace governance, RLS/OLS, and capacity management.
  • Strong understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling.
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets in multi-system environments.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) including Semantic Model (RPD), interactive reports, and dashboards.
  • Familiarity with enterprise data governance frameworks.
  • Experience supporting large-scale BI environments across multiple systems.
