We're Building Something Special in Portland
Hi, I'm Morgan Buck, owner of Bluefrog Plumbing Portland. We're a newer company, but we're doing things differently. If you're a journeyman plumber who's tired of the same old routine and wants to be part of building something meaningful in Portland, I'd love to talk with you.
We're not the biggest plumbing company in town - yet. But we're growing fast, and we treat our people right. No corporate bureaucracy. No being just another number. Your ideas matter here, and you'll have a real voice in how we do things.
What We Pay & What You Get
Hourly Rate: $40-55 depending on experience
Real Earning Potential: Our top performers can make $120,000-$150,000+ annually with competetive commission structure
Profit Sharing: When we do well, you do well
Benefits:
  • Health, vision, and dental insurance - we pay 100% for you, 50% for your family
  • Take your truck home every night, fully stocked and ready to go
  • Dispatch from home
  • No mandatory on-call rotations
  • Training and mentorship opportunities

We know Portland's expensive and good plumbers deserve good pay. We're competitive with anyone in town, and our commission structure means there's no ceiling on what you can earn.
Why This Opportunity is Different
Learn from a Master
Our senior plumbers have a combined 50 years of experience. This isn't some corporate "mentorship program" - it's real, hands-on learning from plumbers who have seen it all. If you want to accelerate your skills and really understand this trade, this is a rare opportunity.
Your Voice Actually Matters
As a woman-owned business, I know what it's like to not always be heard in this industry. That's not how we operate here. I want team members who think, who have ideas, and who want to help build something great. Your experience matters, your suggestions matter, and your growth matters.
Room to Grow
We're not a 50-year-old company with set-in-stone ways of doing things. There's plenty of room to carve out space for yourself and build a career that can grow with you.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Residential Service Plumbing: Repairs, installations, and maintenance
  • Customer Consultation: Diagnose issues and present solutions professionally
  • Quality Workmanship: Uphold Bluefrog's reputation for excellence
  • Continuous Learning: Work closely with our senior plumber to expand your expertise
  • Professional Representation: Be the face of Bluefrog in customers' homes

You'll work closely with our senior plumber, especially at first, and with our small but growing team. We use modern tools and technology - iPads for estimates, good scheduling software, quality equipment.
Who We're Looking For
Must Have:
  • Valid Oregon Journeyman Plumber License
  • Clean driving record
  • 1-5 years of experience as a journeyman
  • Positive attitude and team player mindset
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

What We'd Love:
  • Residential service experience
  • Comfortable with technology (tablets, Service Titan, etc.)
  • Someone who wants to grow and learn

We're looking for someone who's ambitious but not cocky, skilled but still eager to learn, and professional but real with customers. If you're burned out on corporate politics or tired of working for companies that don't invest in their people, we might be a good fit.
Compensation: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
