Job description

Eaton’s AER MSD Mission System Division division is currently seeking a Planning Lead. This role is based in Davenport, IA.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year.

What you’ll do:
  • Manages and develops the planning team within the IPT (Integrated Product Team) and as a member of the IPT cabinet works in conjunction with the other members of the cabinet to achieve our burning platform: We must relentlessly drive to earn Customer trust through superior Quality and Delivery to achieve sustainable growth.
  • Supervise planners assigned in their daily task completion and takes action as needed to improve performance
  • Work with the Senior Planning Manager and the other IPT Planning Managers to lead & develop the material planning team, enhancing capability through training, performance management, coaching and execution of individual development plans.
  • Establish and monitor relevant Metrics & KPI’s for planning exceptions, inventory and delivery, taking corrective actions as needed, proposing and leading improvement actions
  • Help foster teamwork and communication within the IPT between planning and other functions Establish and lead daily/weekly/monthly meetings needed to support IPT activities
  • Working closely with procurement, ensure uninterrupted and efficient flow of material to support the build plan communicating exceptions to the IPT
  • Working closely with operations establish and monitor shop floor execution of build plan communicating exceptions to the IPT
  • Work with planning & procurement teams to provide LOB’s {line of balance) to the IPT showing overall plan
  • Lead the SIOP process in regards to evaluating the capacity and material availability needed to meet the planned build schedule, communicate exceptions to the plan and propose options available
  • Establish baseline inventory levels, stocking plans and planning parameters needed to execute the production build and sales plan while maximizing inventory turns
  • Participate in ECN change board process
Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience working as a planner or scheduler within a manufacturing setting OR Associates degree and 6 years of experience working as a planner or scheduler within a manufacturing setting OR High School diploma or GED and 10 years of experience working as a planner or scheduler within a manufacturing setting.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with standard enterprise resource planning (ERP) & materials resource planning (MRP).
  • No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 70 miles of Davenport, IA to be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or Business.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel.
  • Previous experience working within a mechanical or aerospace company.
  • APICS CPIM/CSCP certification or certification in progress.
  • Oracle system experience.
  • Supervisor experience.
  • Experience with manufacturing planning, master production scheduling, product definition, inventory control, materials requirements planning, capacity requirements planning shop floor control.
  • Analytical, planning and organizational experience.
