Job description

Pike is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex construction projects in the Buffalo market. This is an opportunity for a proven construction leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple buildings under construction at the same time, and knows how to lead large field teams while keeping projects on track.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Project Manager, you will provide leadership across multiple commercial and residential construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring safety, quality, financial performance, and schedule execution every step of the way.

Project Leadership
  • Lead multiple active construction projects and building phases simultaneously

  • Oversee projects from planning through final turnover

  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget

  • Build strong relationships with owners, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams

  • Drive decision-making and problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle

Team Leadership
  • Lead and develop Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, and field teams

  • Manage large project teams across multiple buildings and active job sites

  • Create accountability, communication, and alignment across all stakeholders

  • Support staffing, planning, and development of project team members

Operational Management
  • Oversee master schedules and milestone planning across multiple projects

  • Coordinate manpower, subcontractor sequencing, and procurement timelines

  • Identify risks early and implement solutions to keep projects moving

  • Ensure strong communication between office and field operations

Financial Management
  • Manage project budgets, forecasting, buyout, billing, cash flow, and cost controls

  • Lead change order management and contract administration

  • Review financial performance and projections with leadership

  • Protect project profitability while maintaining client satisfaction

Quality & Safety
  • Maintain Pike's commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence

  • Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and company standards

  • Oversee RFIs, submittals, closeout documentation, and turnover

  • Support issue resolution during warranty periods when needed

What We're Looking For
  • 10+ years of construction project management experience

  • Strong experience in residential, multifamily, mixed-use, or commercial building construction

  • Proven success managing multiple buildings or concurrent project phases

  • Experience leading large field teams and cross-functional project staff

  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and project financials

  • Experience with project scheduling and construction management software

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)
