Job description

Skyway National Painting LLC is seeking a Senior Painter to deliver high-quality interior and exterior painting results while guiding quality standards on each project.

Position Summary

As a Senior Painter, you will lead skilled painting work that elevates the finished appearance of residential and commercial surfaces. You’ll take ownership of prep work, surface protection, application quality, and final touch-ups to ensure consistent, professional results.

In this role, you’ll apply experienced craftsmanship to a range of painting needs while maintaining a safe, organized job site and collaborating with team members to meet project expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, caulking, and priming as needed

  • Apply paint and coatings using appropriate techniques to achieve clean lines, consistent coverage, and desired finishes

  • Protect floors, fixtures, and surrounding areas; set up and maintain a tidy, safe work environment

  • Inspect completed work for quality, including color accuracy, adhesion, coverage, and smoothness; perform touch-ups

  • Support workflow on-site by mentoring less experienced painters and coordinating to keep projects on track

Required Qualifications
  • Experience performing professional painting tasks across interior and/or exterior projects

  • Strong ability to prepare surfaces correctly and apply coatings for durable, consistent results

  • Knowledge of safe work practices, including job site safety and proper handling of painting-related materials

  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately while meeting project timelines and quality standards

  • Willingness to travel locally as needed for assigned project locations

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading a team or serving as a go-to resource for jobsite craftsmanship and quality checks

  • Familiarity with a variety of coating types and finishing requirements for different surfaces
