Information, Risk & Compliance 

NorQuesters are difference makers, and we're looking for someone who will help strengthen our culture of proactive enterprise risk management and support the college's insurance program through thoughtful analysis, collaboration, and strategic insight.

Reporting to the Risk and Insurance Consultant, the Risk Analyst administers the college's strategic risk management program and institutional risk management program and will assist with the college's insurance program.  The position will provide analysis and administrative support to the enterprise risk management program and insurance program.  

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE 

  • Provide analysis and advice on the evaluation, management, control, and governance of risks.
  • Support leaders in identifying, developing, and prioritizing risk management strategies and plans.
  • Conduct research and analyze data to understand potential strategic and operational risks, concerns, and outcomes of decisions. This includes gathering evidence and evaluating information.
  • Provide and monitor the access controls to the Strategic Risk Register, and portfolio risk registers, to ensure the confidentiality of our strategic and portfolio risks.
  • Deliver risk management employee training sessions for groups of stakeholders, which may include administrative personnel, program staff, or senior leadership
  • Analyze risk for college-sponsored activities and events to identify potential liabilities and recommend mitigation strategies, including updating insurance requirements.
  • Assist the Risk and Insurance Consultant with communications, drafting, and updating all insurance-related records.
  • Become familiar with the historical treatment of the college's enterprise risks, to deliver effective advice on risk trends at NorQuest and within the PSI sector.
  • Coordinate with the appropriate teams and technical support to resolve technical issues related to the provision of the dashboards and risk registers.

WHAT YOU BRING 

  • Undergraduate degree in business or related discipline. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. 
  •  A minimum of 3 years of professional and technical experience in enterprise risk management, insurance, internal audit, quality assurance or process improvement-related role.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Extensive experience with Risk and Issue Management lifecycle, including Identify, Analyze, Evaluate, Treat, Monitor, and Review.
  • Experience with risk analysis, data analytics, or visualizations.
  • Experience with commercial insurance and claims.
