Job description

Job Summary:
CPI Card Group is seeking a Lead Storage Engineer to join their team supporting the Department of Transportation. The role involves managing storage architecture, backup, and data replication while ensuring compliance with retention and disaster recovery policies.
Responsibilities:
• Manages storage architecture, backup, and data replication ensuring compliance with retention and DR policies.
• Administer SAN/NAS environments (NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure Storage).
• Ensure backups, snapshots, and replication integrity.
• Maintain storage capacity plans and performance metrics.
• Support continuity of operations (COOP) and DR testing.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 7–10 years in storage engineering.
• Demonstrated experience supporting government agencies, customers, or contracts within federal environments. This includes the Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Civil agencies, and military organizations. Prior experience supporting the same or similar contract, with an in-depth understanding of the customer environment, requirements, and operational landscape, is highly desirable.
• NetApp NCIE or Dell EMC Storage Engineer
• ITIL v4
• Bachelor’s in computer science or information technology.
• Public Trust.
• U.S. Citizen
Preferred:
• Department of Transportation experience.
