Job description

Pega Tech Lead

We are looking for a highly skilled Pega Tech Lead to oversee the design, development, and upgrade of applications built on Pega 8.* to Pega Infinity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Pega platform upgrades, experience working with OpenShift containers, and the ability to coordinate effectively with offshore teams. You will play a critical role in driving digital transformation through scalable and maintainable Pega solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead/support end-to-end delivery of Pega projects, including design, development, upgrade, deployment, and support.
  • Drive and execute Pega platform upgrades (e.g., from older versions to Pega Infinity 23+).
  • Support to implement solutions within containerized environments such as Red Hat OpenShift.
  • Manage and coordinate tasks with offshore/onshore development teams, ensuring alignment across time zones and teams.
  • Work with DevOps and Infrastructure/middleware teams to ensure seamless deployment in containerized environments.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and QA teams to deliver scalable and high-performing Pega applications.
  • Perform code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior developers.
  • Troubleshoot performance and integration issues across environments.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture and governance standards.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 8+ years of overall IT experience with at least 6+ years in Pega.
  • Proven experience leading Pega upgrades (8.x, Infinity 23+, etc.).
  • Strong experience with Pega Infinity architecture, DX API, case lifecycle, Pega Constellation, and Dev Studio.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications in OpenShift or Kubernetes-based containers.
  • Experience in Data Migration of DataBase MSSQL
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, container images, and deployment automation.
  • Experience coordinating and managing offshore teams and delivering in an agile environment.
  • Pega CSSA or CLSA certification is strongly preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial services or Banking domains
  • Familiarity with Constellation UI and DX API
  • Working knowledge of REST, SOAP, and integration patterns
