Full Stack Engineer

Dynamic Work schedule - This is 5 days on site a month- in the same week then the remainder of the month is working from home. If your candidate is not open to this please tell them they will not be considered. Fidelity determines the week they are working onsite, not the candidate.

Locations: NC, BOS or WLK

Must Have:

  • NodeJS
  • VueJS (not picky about version, would take Angular or React experience instead)
  • Nice to haves: AWS, Process automation, BPA

Our chapter comprises teams that work on a wide range of applications and platforms like Fidelity.com, Fidelity Mobile and Investor Centers. We're looking for product-aware engineers who are passionate, inquisitive, and responsible individuals to help us on our mission to deliver the best omni-channel experience to our customers.

The purpose of your role is to help build the omni channel user experiences and the underlying platforms needed to support our digital presence. You’ll work on building entire features, taking these from concept to deployment, as part of our autonomous, cross functional teams. You'll have the opportunity to contribute ideas to improve our products as well as develop your skills, learn new technologies and languages, and continue to learn.

We're looking for highly motivated individuals who work well in a collaborative, iterative, and fast-paced environment.

The expertise we’re looking for:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining Node JS web applications in a fast-paced Scrum environment.
  • Design and Development of front-end solutions using JavaScript, Vue, Typescript, CSS, HTML & Browser Developer tools.
  • Designing and implementing continuous JS environments using Webpack, Grunt, Gulp, etc.
  • Effectively employ DevOps, Automated Testing and Continuous Delivery using technology such as Groovy, Jenkins, Concourse.
  • Experience with containerization, Docker, and orchestration.

The skills you bring:

  • Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks.
  • Your hands of experience building internet facing applications using Node.js, NPM, Express.
  • Your confidence to leverage modern SPA/UX frameworks (Angular, React, Vue).
  • Your advanced Git skills and respective branching strategies.
  • Your knowledge of HTTP based APIs, Networking and how the internet works.
  • Your knowledge of asychrony (Promises, Observers, Event Loops).
  • You’re not intimidated by Visual Design & Rapid Prototyping.

This team builds and gives to Fidelity’s digital presence. As a full stack engineer, you will build develop omni channel user experiences and the underlying platforms needed to support our digital presence on a cloud-based infrastructure.

You will contribute to initiatives that supply ideas to improve our products as well as develop your skills, learn new technologies and languages, and continue to learn while maintaining a strong focus on providing coaching, mentorship and driving talent development across our engineering teams.
