Junior Project Manager

As a Junior Project Manager, you will support the planning, coordination, and execution of signaling projects from inception to completion, with a focus on the MARTA CBTC Project. You will assist the Project Director in managing budgets, timelines, contracts, and stakeholder communications to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including clients, contractors, and internal departments.
This position is based in Atlanta, GA.
Key Activities

  • Support senior team members during critical project phases, including customer interactions, events, contract modifications, legal analysis, procurement, and supplier coordination (domestic and international), as well as cross-functional collaboration.
  • Analyze project data (commercial and legal) to identify opportunities and implement process improvements.
  • Capture meeting minutes and track action items to ensure alignment and follow-through.
  • Assist in preparing project status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing key information.
  • Help develop and execute project communication plans.
  • Facilitate change requests, ensuring stakeholders understand impacts to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Represent the Project Manager in internal and external meetings as needed, documenting discussions and driving action items.
  • Support the identification and development of new business opportunities with customers.
  • Contribute to customer satisfaction by supporting deliverables and transition activities.
  • Assist with customer communications across various formats and audiences.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA in Project Management, Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical), or related field
  • Project coordination, engineering, or related experience is a plus!
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or project management tools (e.g. Jira, Microsoft Project, Primavera, etc.)
  • International project experience is a plus
  • Legal or contracts experience is a plus
  • Must be fluent in English (both verbal and written). German is a plus.
  • Must be able to reside/relocate to Atlanta, if applicable, and work onsite.
