Job description

Power Platform & Data Visualization Developer
Location: Minneapolis, MN (Onsite with limited flexibility)
Type: W2 Contract (Strong potential for extension)
About the Role
Join a dynamic internal engineering team focused on delivering impactful automation and reporting solutions across the organization. As a Power Platform & Data Visualization Developer, you'll bridge business needs and technical innovation-owning solutions end-to-end, from requirements gathering to delivery and continued support. This role offers direct exposure to business stakeholders and the chance to make a tangible difference in improving workflows and decision-making processes.
Responsibilities
- Build, enhance, and maintain Tableau (and/or Power BI) dashboards, ensuring data sources are current and accurate
- Design, develop, and support Power Platform solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse
- Collaborate with business partners to gather requirements and translate them into scalable, user-friendly solutions
- Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing tools, workflows, and dashboards-stabilizing and scaling business-critical processes
- Optimize data queries and connections to support robust reporting and automation
- Balance new solution builds with complex enhancements to existing business tools
Required Skills and Experience
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate; Dataverse exposure preferred)
- Proven expertise in dashboarding, preferably with Tableau
- Strong capability in both low-code development and data visualization
- Demonstrated experience supporting and improving existing solutions (debugging, enhancing, stabilizing)
- Working knowledge of SQL and data concepts (querying, debugging, basic optimization)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Skills
- Experience connecting to modern data platforms or warehouses
- Familiarity with multiple data sources (databases, flat files, etc.)
- Understanding of scalable solution design, especially in Dataverse environments
