The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
In direct support of the URMFG United Business Office (UBO), this position is responsible for working across the professional fee organization serving as a senior-level resource for projects and providing strategic oversight of projects assigned to the analyst. The position will work collaboratively with colleagues and other key stakeholders leading initiatives to develop and/or improve processes within the revenue cycle. The senior analyst will guide the analysts in preparing reports, analyzing data, and presenting revenue cycle findings to the project manager. The senior analyst must have demonstrated working knowledge and a high-level understanding of data reporting and of revenue cycle operations. The senior analyst reports directly to the project manager.
Serves as a lead in directing the process to bridge operational and billing workflows through analysis of Epic functionality. Working with the UBO project manager to collaboratively resolve operational or system issues with our application coordinators on the various Epic Applications. Applying operational workflow knowledge to assist the analyst on next steps in gathering information, analyzing and interpreting data, to get to the root cause. Works closely with the technical analyst in providing recommendations for the build design of our accounts receivable system to ensure optimal efficiency for the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • 40% Under the direction of the UBO project manager, leads project initiatives with UBO Leadership, revenue cycle advisors, department leadership and other stakeholders. The scope of responsibility within these project initiatives including but not limited to, newly acquired practices, new lines of business, new billing initiatives, coordination of coding and payer guidelines, pricing, and system edit/rule design. Prepares reports, identifying and tracking trends to develop best practice standards in our Epic Resolute application (PB). These best practice standards require making recommendations for the integration of professions billing (PB) and operational workflow system design in our Epic applications. As part of developing best practice standards, work with the technical analyst to determine, test, and implement specific edits/rules to route to billing work queues as appropriate.
  • 30% Evaluates and becomes familiar with the performance of professional billing and professional based billing protocols and models for the UBO. May write or assist in writing best practice standard procedures. Work in collaboration with our key stakeholders to assist them understanding the Epic tools and operational processes to accommodate each department/provider in ensuring optimal revenue. Help document and map out tools for new business; acquisitions, implementations, system build/design to meet the ever-evolving changes related to healthcare.
  • 20% Expert in the management of projects and acts as a resource to the analysts for complicated workflows, build/ design of Epic system. Assist with the intake and coordination of the projects assigned to the project management team; assist with project list and prioritization, administrative facilitation and coordination of enterprise-wide initiatives; implementations, acquisitions, SBARS, and any projects assigned to the UBO projects team.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Preferred Background: Experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations or Information Systems is highly desirable.
