Position Purpose:
The Senior Merchandising Analyst plays a critical role in driving data-informed merchandising decisions that optimize assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies. This role partners closely with Merchandising, Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain to deliver actionable insights that improve product performance, maximize revenue, and enhance customer experience. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with business acumen and the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations.
Major Functional Responsibilities:
  • Analyze sales, margin, and inventory data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across product categories
  • Develop and maintain reporting dashboards and tools to track key merchandising KPIs (e.g., sell-through, inventory turns, GMROI)
  • Partner with Merchandising teams to support assortment planning, product lifecycle management, and category reviews
  • Provide pricing and promotional analysis, including elasticity, lift, and ROI measurement
  • Support demand forecasting and inventory optimization in collaboration with Supply Chain and Planning teams
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to support strategic initiatives, new product launches, and business cases
  • Identify opportunities to improve product mix, reduce markdowns, and increase profitability
  • Present insights and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across systems and reporting outputs
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to best practices in analytics and reporting โ€ข Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
Work Experience:
โ€ข 3 - 5 Years - Experience in merchandising analytics, retail analytics, or a related role
โ€ข Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data modeling); experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) preferred
โ€ข Experience with SQL or other data querying tools is a plus
โ€ข Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
โ€ข Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
โ€ข Excellent communication and presentation skills
