Job description

Bring your expertise to a team thatโ€™s raising the standard in commercial construction. As our Senior Material Takeoff Estimator, youโ€™ll play a critical role in shaping project success by preparing accurate lumber takeoffs, assembling competitive material pricing, and supporting field teams with the tools they need to deliver excellence. This is a hands-on role for an experienced estimator who thrives on problem-solving, staying ahead of industry trends, and working collaboratively across departments.

If you have 5+ years of experience with large-scale wood frame projects, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for driving efficiency and accuracy, this is your chance to join a company where teamwork, accountability, and innovation are core values!

Please note: Ideally, this position is based out of St. Louis, Indianapolis, Denver, or Nashville. This position can be remote for the right candidate!
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Takeoff lumber quantities and assemble all wood material pricing on prospective commercial projects.
  • Prepare project material budgets, material lists, and any relevant project scope documents.
  • Seek additional supply partners in regions of concentration to ensure competitive pricing is achieved on each job.
  • Help coordinate framing material related needs (lumber, hardware, trusses, etc.) throughout job duration from field superintendents to ensure overall success of this project.
  • Track and confirm accuracy of orders throughout project, while ensuring potential corrections are implemented from a material standpoint throughout framing process.
  • Remain current on material preferences, changes in local codes, market pricing, and product developments.
  • Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Pre-Requisites
  • At least 5 yearsโ€™ experience performing lumber takeoffs for commercial wood frame projects.
  • Strong ability to problem-solve and communicate consistently with field team and management.
  • Have a firm grasp of excel, Word, and possess a keen knowledge of their preferred estimating program.
  • Have substantive experience performing lumber takeoffs for large-scale wood frame projects.
