Company
Gantri is building the next generation of digital manufacturing for design-driven products.
We operate one of the world’s largest production 3D printing farms for consumer lighting and are transforming a highly manual manufacturing process into a scalable, process-driven advanced manufacturing platform.
Our factory combines additive manufacturing, advanced finishing, process engineering, automation and software-driven operations.
Over the next year, we are aggressively scaling production capacity while targeting major labor-efficiency improvements across every stage of production.
We are looking for a seasoned, exceptionally resourceful Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to help make that happen.
Role
Our engineering leadership has defined a portfolio of high-impact manufacturing improvement projects spanning printing, finishing, inspection, material flow, and fulfillment. What we need now is a senior engineer who can own those projects outright and drive them all the way through with minimal oversight: investigation, testing, documentation, operator training, rollout, and monitoring, until the gains show up in production data and stay there. We will align on priorities and direction, but how each project gets executed is yours to lead.
You won’t need to walk in already knowing our specific additive or finishing processes. You’ll have hands-on guidance to come up to speed on those. What matters is how you think: the right candidate is defined by exceptional logical problem solving and resourcefulness. That shows up as:
- When equipment doesn’t work as expected, you find an alternative
- When a new process isn’t sticking on the floor, you diagnose why and fix the process
- When plan A fails, you already have plan B
- When you are blocked, you find a workaround or escalate quickly with options
This role will directly contribute to Gantri’s goal of doubling manufacturing efficiency over the next several months.
What You'll Own
Process Improvement Execution- Own scoped improvement projects from kickoff to completed rollout, typically in 1–4 week cycles with clear throughput, yield, or labor-efficiency targets
- Lead root cause analysis when projects hit obstacles
- Run structured experiments on live production processes
Production Operations- Improve throughput, reliability, and consistency across printing, finishing, material flow, and inspection
- Develop scalable operational standards and process controls, and follow through until adoption is complete
- Write standards and train operators to follow them
- Evaluate and integrate new production equipment
Production Systems & Data- Translate factory-floor workflow problems into clear logic specifications, edge cases, and acceptance criteria for our internal production software
- Build simple tracking and reporting so the team can see progress against targets
- Analyze production data to confirm your improvements actually worked
Technical Leadership- Set the technical standard for how process work gets done across the floor
- Help prioritize the improvement roadmap and sequence projects for maximum impact under constrained resources
- Raise the bar for the engineers and technicians working alongside you
What We're Looking For:
Above all, the perfect candidate is a resourceful problem solver. You break ambiguous problems down to first principles, form hypotheses, test them quickly, and change course when the data says so. You are quick to reach for an alternative when the obvious path is blocked.
Beyond that, we’re looking for:
- 5–8+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, process, industrial, or mechanical engineering
- Proven track record of independently leading projects end-to-end, from problem to deployed, measured, sustained result
- Strong factory-floor execution mindset: you would rather observe a process in person than guess from a desk
- Comfort working with large production datasets (spreadsheet proficiency at minimum; SQL/Python a plus)
- Clear, usable written communication: SOPs, test reports, and scoping documents others can act on
- Experience with innovative, startup, labor-intense, and/or rapidly scaling manufacturing
Nice to Have- Additive manufacturing / 3D printing experience
- Finishing, coatings, or cosmetic manufacturing experience
- Experience with simplifying labor-intensive operations
- CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar)

Why This Role Matters
Gantri is at a critical scaling point.
We have more manufacturing improvement opportunities than available engineering bandwidth. This role is for a senior engineer who wants to close that gap personally, own a meaningful slice of how we manufacture, and shape the future operating model of the factory.
Your impact will be immediate, visible, and measurable on factory performance.
If you love solving difficult physical manufacturing problems and take pride in finishing what you start, we would love to talk.
With your application, include a few sentences about the hardest project you have ever pushed across the finish line, what blocked it, and what you did about it. (instructions below)
We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.
