What You Can Expect

Identifies market trends, issues and competitive environment and forms strategic plans for the OrthoGrid Hip portfolio. Leads the effort to initiate new product strategies for OrthoGrid Hip AI and Hip Preservation globally. Evaluates the needs of product marketing, sales, and clinical content and trainings on a global basis and initiates strategies that meet US and Outside US requirements. Acts as the senior product lead in an agile pod and serves as project manager across associated OrthoGrid hardware and software programs.

How You'll Create Impact

Manages the full life cycle of the OrthoGrid Hip portfolio segment, developing and executing overall marketing programs and strategic direction for the segment, which support and meet business and departmental goals and objectives.

Owns marketing initiatives for Hip AI and Hip Preservation globally. Responsible for cultivating strategy at the segment level and ensuring execution of key strategies for the segment.

Leads both upstream and downstream marketing activities for the segment, including user needs, roadmap, user stories, backlog prioritization, commercialization strategy, product positioning, training, and launch execution.

Serves as project manager across OrthoGrid hardware and software development projects within the Hip pod, coordinating timelines, milestones, risks, and cross-functional dependencies from concept through market release.

May provide leadership within a pod structure. Works closely with Marcom teams to define clear messaging for the segment and define the clinical evidence plan with the clinical strategic lead.

Works closely with OrthoGrid operations management, ZB sales teams, and clinical specialists to align product development, field readiness, launch planning, and commercial execution.

Actively collaborates with cross-functional partners including R&D, Regulatory, Quality, Medical Education, Clinical Affairs, Operations, and regional commercial teams.

Supports integration of OrthoGrid AI capabilities into broader Zimmer Biomet platforms (Planning, Mixed Reality, Robotics, etc.)

Expected Areas of Competence (i.e., knowledge, skills and abilities)

Leads the marketing development effort to bring new Hip AI and Hip Preservation solutions from concept through commercialization including market exit. Leads the sustaining activities for existing Hip applications in the market.

Develops business cases for new product developments and ensures alignment with segment strategy and overall OrthoGrid platform priorities.

Actively participates in assigned project teams and Agile sprint processes.

Acquires product information through market research, surgeon interaction, and regional input to assure projects meet the needs of intended markets.

Leads guidance on strategies and support to multiple internal and external groups such as regional commercial teams, MedEd teams, Clinical Affairs, Development, Regulatory, Operations, Marcom, Sales, and Clinical Specialists.

Directs the development and ongoing maintenance of relationships with THA and hip preservation surgeons and consultants utilized to design, evaluate, and educate on company products.

Demonstrates strong project management discipline across complex hardware and software programs with multiple stakeholders and milestones.

Understands AI-enabled software and capital/SaaS business models and can translate technical capabilities into clear commercial and clinical value propositions.

What Makes You Stand Out
  • Demonstrated clinical expertise in Total Hip Arthroplasty procedures, implant systems, and navigation/workflow is strongly preferred
  • Experience working with software-driven healthcare products, AI-enabled medical technology, or SaaS/capital business models is strongly preferred.
  • Project management experience across hardware and/or software development programs is preferred.
Your Background
  • B.A./B.S. degree required, preferably including formal studies in business or marketing.
  • MBA preferred but not required.
  • 8+ years of product management experience or sales experience required, preferably in healthcare.
  • Orthopedic experience is required, with strong preference for hip arthroplasty expertise.
  • Experience in both Upstream & Downstream Marketing is required
