RSM Canada is looking for a Senior Manager to join our expanding International Tax practice. This role provides an opportunity to join a specialty area within the firm's rapidly expanding Canadian tax practice, focused on our inbound and outbound internationally active clients. As an International Tax Senior Manager, you will use your expertise to provide international tax consulting and compliance services to our Canadian clients operating and investing internationally, and our foreign clients operating and investing in Canada. You will help lead our growth, seize new business opportunities and work closely with a dynamic team of professionals.

As an experienced professional, you will continue to develop the analytical skills necessary for the effective diagnosis, development and implementation of solutions to clients' international tax needs. Responsibilities include:

  • Driving the success of multiple engagements across different jurisdictions in a dynamic work environment
  • Providing mentorship, training and detailed reviews to team members
  • Developing growth opportunities for the firm with both existing and prospective clients
  • Collaborating with your RSM colleagues across different jurisdictions around the world

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Requires a minimum of eight (8) years of public accounting experience (with the more recent years practicing International Tax) working for a national or regional accounting firm. A combination of public accounting and industry experience would be considered
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of the Canadian Income Tax Act, Canadian Income Tax Regulations, CRA rulings, case law and tax treaties and apply this knowledge to complex cross border tax situations
  • Dynamic problem solver, solid work ethic and strong project management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information to clients and key stakeholders.
  • Possess a developed project management skillset that can be deployed in fast-moving, complex cross border engagements.
  • Requires one of the following to be active and in good standing: CPA or Attorney license.
  • Master's of Taxation or completion of the CPA Canada In Depth Tax Program
  • Travel may be required for this position

The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $112,500 - $192,000

Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
