Job description

Job Summary:
Ardagh Group is a leading global supplier of sustainable metal beverage cans, and they are seeking a Senior Manager, Data & Analytics to lead the development and implementation of data and analytics capabilities across the organization. This role involves creating a comprehensive data strategy, collaborating with various functions, and ensuring data governance to drive business insights and value.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive data and analytics strategy that supports the company’s financial and business goals
• Support the transformation of the finance function and other departments through advanced analytics
• Co-create D&A strategy with the IT Function to ensure data foundations are set to enable analytics initiatives
• Collaborate with leadership to identify and prioritize key financial analytics initiatives
• Enable reporting automation by developing and maintaining dashboards using data visualization tools that communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and insights to stakeholders
• Work closely with the CEO, CFO and other members of the leadership team to establish and coordinate the AI Governance Council
• Own and advance the Technology Roadmap, ensuring alignment with business strategy and enterprise architecture
• Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures within Finance
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of all data used for analysis and reporting
• Act as Finance Lead/ owner of financial systems (HFM, Tagetik)
• Collaborate with FP&A on the development of predictive and prescriptive analytics models to support financial forecasting and strategic planning
• Conduct ad hoc analyses to answer specific business questions and support strategic decision-making
Qualifications:
Required:
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, finance or accounting
• 7+ years of experience in data analytics, with relevant financial experience
• Familiarity with data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Excel, Python, or R
• Experience with visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau
• Familiarity with statistical methods and data modelling techniques
• Self-starter with strong results orientation
• Collaborative style with proven written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
• Experience in Manufacturing industry a plus
• SAP experience a plus
