THE ROLE

Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Senior Maintenance Technician position involves working in various skilled trades, such as machine preventative maintenance and repair, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, welding, painting, and minor electrical work. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform and oversee complex repairs and preventive maintenance on machinery and facility systems. 
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems to minimize downtime. 
  • Modify, weld, machine, and assemble parts, tooling, and fixtures to support production. 
  • Coordinate and execute equipment moves, installations, and alignments. 
  • Monitor and manage maintenance tools, supplies, and spare parts. 
  • Read and apply schematics, blueprints, and work orders. 
  • Partner with operations and engineering to improve reliability and meet quality standards. 
  • Maintain a safe workspace, follow OSHA guidelines, wear PPE, and report hazards. 
  • Provide guidance and technical support to lessexperienced technicians. 
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Able to communicate with vendors or manufacturer on trouble shooting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred. 
  • 5+ years of industrial or facilities maintenance experience. 
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fabrication abilities. 
  • Skilled with hand tools, power tools, welding, machining, and diagnostic equipment. 
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics. 
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently. 
  • Comfortable in a fastpaced manufacturing setting; able to work overtime.

Physical Requirements

 

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. maximum, 35 lbs. repetitively
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and varying environmental conditions
