We are seeking a highly motivated, self-driven, experienced Product Owner to lead multiple products in the Foundational and Open Solutions value stream of Broadcom's mainframe software division. These products like TPX Session Management for z/OS, VM: Manager, VM:Secure and multiple others run on z/OS, z/VM and z/VSE(VSEn) platforms of the Mainframe ecosystem. They are part of the mission critical infrastructure of several enterprise customers worldwide.

About the jobThe Product Owner is responsible for delivering the capabilities and features of the products collaborating with Engineering, UX, Support, and other cross functional teams in alignment with the Product Roadmap. Success in this job requires a thorough understanding of customer needs, prioritizing features of value, executing and managing dependencies between product development teams day to day. This role requires a strong mainframe technology background, understanding of different enterprise IT environments, being proficient to work in sAFE framework, and excellent communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • as intermediary between market/business requirements and R&D to advocate for the product internally.

  • a vital role in planning and prioritization of product roadmap work and product support issues with the scrum team.

  • Prioritize product features by analyzing customer needs and breaking them down into functional stories working closely with the Architecture and Engineering.

  • Managing priorities of multiple product backlogs and execution with scrum teams using tools such as Rally, Jira etc.

  • (and remove) roadblocks across teams to meet quality standards, project deadlines, and business objectives.

  • Participate and present product functions to internal and external stakeholders during demo sessions, marketing event and/or executive reviews

  • Partner with Architecture teams solutioning new features and capabilities, including but not limited to exploring applicability of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning technologies

  • measure customer adoption and retention based on the GTM plan and tactics to achieve product KPIs

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Masters Degree in Engineering AND 8+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management or enterprise software development

  • Technical knowledge of mainframe software, transformation trends, and insights is required

  • Expertise in managing complex cross-functional, cross-business, cross-disciplinary projects

  • Working with business stakeholders in partnership to achieve goals and objectives

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including executive level presentations

  • Strong stakeholder management and effective communication skills

  • Experience working with product and engineering teams in a collaborative software development environment and defining product backlogs and prioritization

  • Management of customer requests, issues and/or escalations

  • Leadership, organization, and time management skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $104,100- $166,500

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
