The Senior Logistics Design and Pricing Manager is a strategic leader and business process owner responsible for leading the design and pricing of complex logistics solutions, with a strong emphasis on railway logistics. This role leverages extensive knowledge of railroad operations, multimodal transportation, and supply chain solutions to develop standardized processes, tools, methodologies, and commercial strategies that support competitive, executable, and profitable pricing solutions aligned with the Company’s sales and growth objectives. The position combines hands-on pricing and logistics design with governance, process oversight, and continuous improvement in partnership with Sales, Operations, Project Management, and Finance.

This role leads the development and continuous improvement of the logistics design and pricing function by establishing consistent processes for opportunity intake, solution design, costing, pricing, review, approval, and proposal development. The position enhances pricing tools, methodologies, data quality, and analytical capabilities to support informed decision-making and profitable growth while promoting consistency and scalability across opportunities. The role also supports team development through coaching, guidance, collaboration, and the sharing of best practices.

The position leads complex project cargo opportunities from logistics design through customer proposal development, including developing transportation strategies, logistics plans, cost estimates, pricing models, and commercial proposals based on project scope, specifications, operational requirements, vendor inputs, market conditions, and contract terms. The role works closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers to develop solutions that are operationally feasible, commercially competitive, and aligned with customer requirements.

The Senior Logistics Design and Pricing Manager establishes, monitors, and continuously improves logistics design and pricing standards, performance measures, tools, and best practices to enhance proposal quality, consistency, execution readiness, and profitability. This includes developing and maintaining pricing process documentation, templates, checklists, standard operating procedures, pricing models, benchmark data, and other tools that promote consistent, efficient, and scalable execution.
