**Job Title: Medication Technician (NOC)**

**Location:** Kiley Ranch Senior Living
**Job Type:** Full-Time
**Shift:** Night Shift (NOC)
**Shift Schedule: Wed. to Sat. - 10p.m to 6a.m.

**PayRate: $19

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medication Technician to join our night shift team. The Medication Technician (NOC) will play a vital role in our healthcare facility by ensuring that patients receive their medications accurately and on time during the night hours. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medication administration protocols, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Administer medications to residents/patients according to physician orders and facility protocols.
- Prepare and distribute medication in a timely manner, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects associated with medications and report findings to the nursing staff.
- Assist residents/patients with activities of daily living as needed, providing compassionate support and care.
- Maintain a clean and organized medication storage area, adhering to safety and infection control standards.
- Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Participate in staff training and education sessions related to medication management and safety.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
- Document medication administration and any relevant observations in patient records accurately and promptly.
- Address and resolve any medication-related inquiries from patients or family members, providing education as necessary.
- Assist in preparing for inspections and audits related to medication management.

**Qualifications:**

- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medication Technician or similar qualification preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in medication administration, is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of medication types, dosages, routes of administration, and potential side effects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
