Job description

We are seeking a Senior TIBCO BusinessEvents Engineer / Migration Lead to lead the TIBCO BusinessEvents 5.5 to 6.4 upgrade and RHEL 7 to RHEL 9 migration. The role will oversee planning, refactoring, testing, migration waves, cutover, rollback, hypercare, and production stabilization.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead the integrated TIBCO BusinessEvents and RHEL migration plan, including sequencing, dependencies, risks, and acceptance criteria.

  • Coordinate technical teams and stakeholders through readiness reviews and go-live decisions.

  • Lead application migration waves, side-by-side server rebuilds, CI/CD deployments, parallel-run validation, cutover, rollback, and hypercare.

  • Ensure BusinessEvents applications are successfully migrated to the hardened RHEL 9 platform.

  • Drive production stabilization and ensure operational documentation is completed.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 15+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years in a technical leadership role.

  • Must have TIBCO BusinessEvents 5.5 to 6.4 upgrade experience.

  • Strong experience with RHEL/Linux migration, particularly RHEL 7 to RHEL 9.

  • Hands-on experience with:

    • TIBCO BusinessEvents

    • TIBCO EMS

    • Java

    • SQL/JDBC

    • Jenkins

    • Terraform

    • Ansible

    • Datadog

  • Strong experience in migration planning, cutover, rollback, hypercare, and production support.
