Memory Care Nurse Supervisor (LPN/RN)

Join Our Team

The Glebe, a LifeSpire of Virginia community located in beautiful Daleville, VA, is seeking a compassionate, organized, and experienced Memory Care Nurse Supervisor (LPN or RN) to join our dedicated team. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring exceptional clinical care and enhancing the quality of life for residents living in our Memory Care neighborhood.

Working closely with the Assisted Living Nurse Manager, the Memory Care Nurse Supervisor provides clinical leadership, coordinates resident care, supports nursing staff, and helps ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Mission, Vision, and Values of LifeSpire of Virginia by providing compassionate, resident-centered care.
  • Partner with the Assisted Living Nurse Manager to oversee the delivery of high-quality nursing services for Memory Care residents.
  • Coordinate physician services and ensure timely communication regarding resident care.
  • Foster positive relationships among residents, families, and team members while promoting a collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure effective communication across nursing shifts and interdisciplinary teams while maintaining resident confidentiality.
  • Assist with developing, implementing, and monitoring nursing systems that promote consistent, high-quality resident care.
  • Complete and maintain Individualized Service Plans (ISPs), Uniform Assessment Instruments (UAIs), fall assessments, and risk assessments for all Memory Care residents.
  • Lead monthly care conferences with residents' families and the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Assist with staffing and scheduling to ensure appropriate nursing coverage and continuity of care.
  • Support compliance with all federal, state, and LifeSpire nursing regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate new resident admissions, assessments, and level-of-care changes.
  • Assist with the development and revision of nursing policies and procedures.
  • Build strong working relationships with all departments to support excellent resident outcomes.
  • Maintain professional competency through continuing education and ongoing training.
  • Follow all LifeSpire of Virginia personnel policies, including attendance, PTO, meal periods, and workplace procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of:
    • Residents' Rights
    • Fire and Disaster Plans
    • Infection Prevention and Control
    • Clinical Policies and Procedures
    • Administrative Policies and Procedures
    • Problem-solving procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Current, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) OR Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Minimum of two years of gerontological or senior care nursing experience, preferably in assisted living or memory care.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to provide exceptional nursing care to older adults with compassion and professionalism.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, physicians, and team members.
  • Ability to lead a diverse team while fostering a respectful, collaborative work environment.
